I am Non-Binary.
I would describe my gender experience as feeling quite genderless/a lack of gender identity (agender). Even though I don’t feel connected to the concept of gender, I am still subject to being “gendered” by society and am generally perceived as “femme” by people who think gender matters. I also Identify as Trans* which is an umbrella term meaning a gender identity that is/was/will be in transition. For me, I think I will always be in a state of transition towards my truest earthly self.
I’m not opposed to being called a woman, I am subject to the assumptions, perceptions, and treatment women often experience and therefore I identify within that experience more than with the gender itself. Misogyny is often at many intersections of gender based discrimination that impact everyone including cisgender men, women, and trans folks.
If you are attracted to me, awesome, book me! If you’re not, don’t. If you're inclined to ask what it means for your sexuality if you're attracted to me, please do that introspection in your own time or tip me. With that being said, I am open about my gender.
